El Cortijo

Located in Burlington Vermont in the converted historical Oasis Diner, El Cortijo Taqueria serves up authentic and reimagined Mexican dishes and “farm-to-taco” delights made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients, as well as imaginative craft Margaritas.

The identity was designed to convey a sense of festivity as well as commitment to craft. The custom designed typography brings forward a more ornate use of caps while also being modern and bold. This was carried through to the menu designs, illuminated exterior signage and sidewalk board. The merchandise designs play with a sense of humor as well as referencing Mexican culture and farm craft.
